XBL uses gamertag integration for almost all it's developer's sites.

He's not saying anything about what sony's doing. He's talking about sony's fans never being dissatisfied with dissatisfactory products/services. It's ok not to like something. It only hurts you guys in the long run. Sony won't change things if you're fine with everything they do.

Also, most beta's are free. the "oh I'm fine because they're giving us the beta for free" idea is stupid. IT'S A BETA! IT SHOULD BE FREE!

PS: sony isn't charging you to breath...

No, you're not getting it. I go on xbl I have my gamertag. I go on bungie.net it's the same gamertag(not a different gamertag linked to that gamertag). I'm amazed at how readily you support this.

This is the reason you don't have cross game messages and invites. This is the reason you'll have a hard time keeping up with any friends you meet online.

I mean christ, it's ok to be upset with something Sony does or something they're not doing. It's how they get stuff ...

If you don't know why people are blowing this out of proportion you should leave N4g ;).

There were like 200 comments saying that sony announcing a GTA4 bundle that's more expensive than the 360 and game seperate was going to be a 360 killer.

This hurts sony way more than that is going to hurt microsoft.

It's bad because Sony has been trying to make PSN a unified service since the beginning. Their biggest title this year, and probably in the life o...

They've had something like 3 articles in the past 3 weeks. The first was on Microsoft being in a GTA4 panic because they paid for the DLC. The second was M$ being screwed because they didn't make a manufacturer bundle for GTA4 (yet). Then the third was this.

I don't normally mind M$ being ragged on, but this site is just so incredibly anti-M$ biased it's incredible. Anybody that honestly takes their opinion as even close to possible is stupid. There's so many logical fallacies ...

Agree completely. I don't understand how anyone with a PS3 thinks continuing PS2 support is good. It'll get sony more money, but the chances of the extra income from PS2 sales being realized soon are small; especially considering their gaming division isn't even close to their largest profit making division.

The one thing that supporting the PS2 does do, however, is split sony's resources. If they devoted all their attention to PS3, chances are that Home, in game XMB, cross pla...

They're dropping XP support because most that would need it/want it already has it, and everyone that doesn't should just get vista.

and lawl at M$ being the only company that screws consumers. I've been on M$ platforms my whole life between Windows Xbox and 360. Never once have I felt screwed. Compare that to the millions of PS2s that failed without Sony even acknowledging it as a problem until a class action lawsuit was filed.

I'd rather them keep getting new 2nd and first party external developers. Places like Lionhead, Mystwalker, Rare, and Bungie before they left. I'm really suprised M$ hasn't been buying up all sorts of developers. They ahve the money, and that really would have pushed the 360 over the PS3.

In fact, it would have kept M$ over Sony in general as a gaming company for a good while.

are you daft? think about what you jsut said. "Why would someone pay less for more than they want when they can pay more to just get what they want?"

If you went into the deli and wanted a sandwich. If you could get a sandwich and a free car for $5 or a sandwich for $6, which would you get?

It's the disk drive. You can tell because you don't hear it till you load a game and it starts reading the disk.

Are that PSN doesn't have the basic features that make an online experience great. An in game XMB, cross game messaging and invites, even cross platform messaging and invites. It's just easier to stay in touch/play with your friends on xbl. It feels like more of a community. I still play games with people I met in my first year on xbl in the original ghost recon. That just wouldn't be possible with the way PSN is now.

I understand PSN is promising these features soon, and maybe...

it's funny how people who've never even touched a 360 post articles about RROD too.

EA has been doing a good job the past few years. They're definately taking steps in the right direction. It's not something that's going to change overnight, but EA isn't the same EA it was 5 years ago.

At least give them some credit for acknowledging their problems and taking steps to fix them.

A hostile takeover doesn't contradict anything in that article. As long as the keep take two's developers generally autonomous, there's no reason a hostile takeover would change anything in the article.

Read my conditional:

"If you can get the engine working well on both, there's no reason outside of the console maker paying you not to go multi-platform."

As most of your reply pertains solely to that conditional being false, I won't reply more other than this.

The tech differences make the biggest cost difference when it's a game that's pushing each system to it's limit. In a story driven game like star ocean, there going to spend a lot ...

It's dumb not to release most games multi platform. If you can get the engine working well on both, there's no reason outside of the console maker paying you not to go multi-platform.

You can either sell 2 million games, or you can sell 2,200,000. I'd take the latter. More sales is better than less sales.

Didn't VGChartz say they were undercutting their 360 numbers and raising their PS3 numbers for this month because they were so far off the past 2?

6513d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

That's not misleading at all. "Month after month". I guess technically you're right, because january is a month, and february is a month after it, but keep in mind they still have 2 years of 360 outselling it "month after month" (read: not just 2 months) to make up for.

The better question is, What's your excuse going to be when you find out they were telling the truth?
